History

Even at the time of the ancient Romans, people knew the healing properties of the water in Abano Terme, the largest thermal station in Europe, which has specialized in mud therapy and has always attracted people from all over the world.

The long route of our water originates in the Lessini Mountains, in the pre-Alps, where it infiltrates the soil and goes underground to a depth of 3.000 metres, rising its temperature of 3° C every 100 metres of depth. This water runs 80 kilometres in about 25 to 30 years, enriching in mineral salts along the way, before springing in our hot springs at a temperature of 85° C.

This precious water is used for inhalation therapy and the maturation of the mud which is used in mud therapy, it becomes a primary component in the thermal baths, the swimming pools, the sweating grottos, still maintaining its beneficial properties.

Our water is classified as hyperthermal, hypertonic and salty-bromine-iodine.
